A Tense situation was reported at the Abhayaramaya temple in Narahenpita earlier today (29) due to a large crowd gathered in the hopes of receiving the 2nd jab of the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine.
Public had gathered in the temple due to a rumour that 2nd jab of the vaccine will be given.
They had to leave in disappointment after waiting for several hours for the vaccine which never arrived at the location.
Thousands of people are still waiting for the second jab of the AstraZeneca vaccine with the due date having lapsed as a result of a shortage of the vaccine. (NewsWire)
