President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has pledged that swift action will be taken to apprehend the suspects who murdered the innocent girl from Atalugama.
“My heartfelt condolences & deepest sympathies to the family of little Fatima Ayesha who was senselessly killed. I pledge to expedite swift action & justice to her family for this vicious crime.” The President tweeted today.
9-year-old Ayesha was reported missing since last morning, before her body was found in a marshy land nearby her house earlier today.
The police said that they believe the girl was murdered elsewhere and the body had been brought to the site where it was found. (NewsWire)
