The body believed to be of underworld figure and drug kingpin Rajapaksa Arachchige Dinuka Madushan alias ‘Keselwatte Dinuka’ has been brought to Sri Lanka.
‘Keselwatte Dinuka’ is reported to have died of a heart attack last week while seeking refuge in Dubai.
He had fled to the United Arab Emirates and had operated his drug trafficking and underworld activities from overseas.
Keselwatte Dinuka, was a close associate of the notorious drug kingpin “Makandure Madush” who was killed in a shootout with the police in Maligawatte last year.
Police Spokesman Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said a DNA test will be conducted on the body brought down from Dubai to confirm the identity of Keselwatte Dinuka.
He said DNA samples and fingerprints have been collected for the identification process.
DIG Ajith Rohana said the body will be handed over to the relatives after the completion of the tests and confirmation of identity. (NewsWire)
