The Progressive Women’s Collective staged a protest opposite the Sri Lanka Bureau for Foreign Employment (SLBFE) today on behalf of Sri Lankan migrant workers.
The group called on the Government to protect and assist Sri Lankan migrant workers who are stranded overseas due to the coronavirus pandemic.
National People’s Power MP Dr. Harini Amarasuriya also participated in the protest.
She met officials from the SLBFE to discuss the matter. (NewsWire)
