Three persons were reported dead after being run over by a vehicle between the 13th and 14th-mile post on the Anuradhapura – Rambewa main road.
According to the Police, the vehicle, assumed to be a double cab, had run over a group of pedestrians and fled the area.
From among the victims, three men were reported dead, while two women were injured and hospitalised.
The Police have launched investigations into the accident and to apprehend the wanted driver. (NewsWire)
