The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has issued a notice to Attorneys-at-Law and Notaries Public on the appointment of a compliance officer related to their business activities.
As per the notice the new guidelines have been issued under Section 33 of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act, No 06 of 2006 on specific business operations.
The CBSL warned that failure to comply with the requirements under the FTRA shall be liable to administrative penalties. (NewsWire)
