Video footage has emerged of a woman stealing a mobile phone from a store in the Fort area in Colombo.
The woman is seen approaching the store assistant to look at different models of phones.
She is later seen concealing one out of three phones under her umbrella without the knowledge of the store assistant, and is later seen moving it into her bag.
The theft has been captured on the CCTV of the store.
The Police have stated that a number of similar incidents have been reported in various areas of the country. (NewsWire)
