The Credit Information Bureau of Sri Lanka (CRIB) is providing access to the public to obtain their own CRIB – scores.
The CRIB Sri Lanka launched the CRIB- Score program to its member Financial Institutions earlier this year.
Credit Scores are used in financial markets world over to ascertain the credit worthiness and risk attached to borrowers quickly and consistently.
Credit information provided to the CRIB Sri Lanka by its member institutions is regulated by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and converted to credit scores using an algorithm.
The score report also provides a risk grade and key reasons for the score generated.
The public can now obtain their own CRIB scores at a nominal fee from the CRIB Office counter, apply through their banks or access online. (NewsWire)
