The Chinese embassy in Sri Lanka has responded to Sri Lanka’s request over non-slip doormats bearing the Sri Lanka flag being advertised for online purchase on Amazon.
The Foreign Ministry has reached out to China to contact the manufacturer of the doormats, who is based in China.
“National Flags must be fully respected. Concern has been conveyed for investigation. Similar products are sold by sellers from various countries on Amazon. China has been supporting Sri Lanka for its peace, prosperity and dignity for decades.” Chinese embassy in Colombo tweeted. (NewsWire)
