Chinese President XiJinping has sent a birthday letter to Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Chinese embassy said that letter was sent underlining the spirit of the Rubber-Rice Pact “independence, self-reliance, unity & mutual Support” against current situation.
“China always stands ready to extend its support to Sri Lanka, 2022 marks the 65th anniversary of China Sri Lanka diplomatic ties. We have been understanding & supporting with each other for 65 years. I attach great importance to the development of our relations and would continue work to elevate it to new heights” Chinese President has said according to the Chinese embassy in Colombo.
Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa celebrates his 73rd birthday on 20th June.
