Senior DIG Central Province Nilantha Jayawardena has been transferred as Senior DIG Support Service & Senior DIG support service Priyantha Weerasuriya has been transferred as SDIG Central Province by the IGP.
Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence, Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith along with several opposition politicians had accused the Government for not taking any action against Senior DIG Nilantha Jayawardena over not preventing the Easter Sunday Attacks in 2019 when he was the State Intelligence Services (SIS) Chief.
