An individual has been detected with COVID-19 from Mount Lavinia.
Health authorities stated that the patient has been identified as an employee of the apparel factory in Minuwangoda in which the latest COVID-19 cluster was detected.
It has been reported that the employee had visited the apparel factory’s head office in Colpetty recently.
He is also said to have visited the Colombo International Book Fair on the 27th of September.
The patient’s wife has been identified as a doctor and is said to be on maternity leave.
Health authorities said that the man has been admitted to the COVID-19 Treatment Facility in Iranawila, while measures are being taken to place his family members and close associates in quarantine. (NewsWire)
