President of the PHIs union of Sri Lanka, Upul Rohana says that even though travel restrictions are currently in place in the country, the number of covid patients being reported daily has not reduced up to the expected level.
Upul Rohana further said the many people are violating the travel restrictions in place.
“With the current travel restrictions in place, we can see a possible reduction in number of patients reporting by the end of next week.” He went on to say.
“However, it might not be productive as expected, as many people are traveling by misusing the relaxation of restrictions for essential services” Upul Rohana further added.
