CrossFit Ceylon Athletes set for Nationals!

Over the past few years, Olympic Weightlifting has seen a renaissance in Sri Lanka. Many gyms have pivoted from traditional bodybuilding and weight loss towards Functional Fitness. At the apex stands CrossFit Ceylon, Sri Lanka’s largest CrossFit Gym.

On Saturday, August 29, Coaches and Athletes from CrossFit Ceylon set the standard at the Western Province Olympic Weightlifting Competition, securing 3 Gold and 2 Silver Medals across the Men and Women’s Divisions.

Under the tutelage of Weightlifting Coach Nirash Perera and Head Coach Andy Andrews, this gym is going places.

Women’s 64KG Division | 1st Place
• Snatch: 38kg
• Clean & Jerk: 57kg

Nishath Kareem
Women’s 55KG Division | 2nd Place
• Snatch: 38kg
• Clean & Jerk: 45kg
