The Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will commence operations today for the first time since March 20th, Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera announced.
Minister Wijesekera said that the refinery will commence operations as a Crude Oil cargo will be unloaded today.
“The refinery will start producing Fuel Oil in 6 days,” the minister added.
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera further said that a vessel containing petrol is being unloaded.
He also revealed details of the current fuel stocks available in the country as of 08.30 am today, 27th May 2022.

- Super Diesel : 1,778 MT
- 92 Petrol : 42,750 MT
- 95 Petrol : 6,579 MT
- JET A1 : 3,104 MT
