Dayasiri reveals grim situation Sri Lanka facing

Sri Lanka is in possession of sufficient stock of fuel only for the next 3-4 days, State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara has revealed.

Raising concerns on the fuel crisis, the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) said it is unsure when vehicles will get stranded on the roads due to a lack of fuel.

Stating that an oil tanker containing diesel had been turned away due to a lack of Dollars to settle the payment, he said payment is due to release another vessel containing petrol that is docked at the Colombo Port.

Along with the fuel crisis, a power crisis too has occurred pushing the country towards an imminent situation of collapsing, the State Minister pointed out.
