The Colombo Lotus Tower Management has issued a clarification on the recent event held at its premises, which resulted in the deaths of two young individuals.
A 27-year-old woman from Mulleriyawa and a 22-year-old man from Dehiwala were reported to have died after falling ill at a DJ Party that had been held at the Colombo Lotus Tower on March 07, 2024.
Initial reports presumed that the two had fallen ill after consuming drinks containing narcotics.
Issuing a clarification on the unfortunate deaths, the Colombo Lotus Tower Management said the event had been held at an outdoor venue at its premises, which had been rented.
The Lotus Tower authorities further said that the event was privately organized and conducted at a rented space, adding that it was separate from the operations of the Colombo Lotus Tower and its affiliated entities. (NewsWire)
