5 persons were arrested by Warakapola Police today near the house of Dhammika Bandara who recently discovered the so-called local cure for the coronavirus.
Police said these people were arrested as they had fake qurantine certificates with them. They had arrived to obtain the alleged Covid syrup from Dhammika Bandara.
Police said they dispersed hundreds of people who had arrived to obtain the syrup.
Distributing the syrup has been suspended until further notice, a poster pasted in the gate of Dhammika Bandara’s house said.
