Sri Lanka fast bowler Dhammika Prasad has announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 37.
Dhammika Prasad played 25 Test matches and 32 ODIs for Sri Lanka in a career spanning nearly a decade.
Prasad, 37, last played intentional cricket for Sri Lanka in October, 2015, in a Test against the West Indies.
In fact, it was the year that he was probably in best form in Test cricket as he went on to capture 41 wickets in just 9 Tests finishing among the top ten wicket takers in 2015.
Unfortunately, a shoulder injury prevented him playing further for Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, Sri Lankan fans will be able to see Dhammika Prasad next month playing for the Sri Lanka Legends team in India.
Dhammika Prasad along with Nuwan Kulasekara will lead the legends bowling attack in the Road Safety World Series. (NewsWire)
