Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to conduct a disciplinary inquiry against batsman Kusal Mendis, who is accused of causing a motor accident that resulted in the death of a person.
It is said that such a disciplinary inquiry has been proposed as a measure to prevent such unfortunate incidents by cricketers.
Sri Lanka Cricket has the authority to conduct disciplinary inquiries against contract players.
Meanwhile, Kusal Mendis who agreed to pay Rs. 1 million as compensation to the family members of the deceased, is also working to provide a land to the family as they do not have a permanent house.
