The Urban Development Authority (UDA) has decided to provide a discount for Sri Lankans residing overseas and migrant workers who purchase houses in Sri Lanka using dollars.
The UDA Board has approved a 10% discount for Sri Lankans living overseas and Sri Lankan migrant workers who use dollars to purchase houses.
Thereby, they are eligible to purchase houses in the properties built for middle-income families by the UDA.
The UDA has taken this initiative as another measure to address the foreign exchange crisis in Sri Lanka.
The two apartment complexes built for middle-income families by the UDA in Borella and Angoda consist of 608 and 500 houses each, respectively. (NewsWire)
