Villagers in the Karuwalaghawattha area in Mahawa have managed to rescue a Wild Elephant which had fallen into a well in the area today (14), after much effort.
Video footage have emerged of the Elephant, aged about 3 years, chasing bystanders after it was rescued.
During this chaos, a 55-year old man has died after being attacked by the said Wild Elephant.
Meanwhile, a person has been injured and hospitalized following another Elephant attack in Udappuwa area in Puttalam, after villagers tried to chase away the wild Elephant which entered the village last night.
