The fire that broke out in a building located in front of the Galle Face Green in Colombo has been contained, it was reported.
The Colombo Fire Brigade said the fire had broken out on the 4th floor of the building under construction.
Four fire engines from the Colombo Fire Brigade had been dispatched to contain the fire.
The Colombo Fire Brigade said no injuries or casualties have been reported in the incident, adding that the cause for the fire is yet to be ascertained.
