First patient reported outside quarantine centers after several days.
An individual who had recently returned from India tested positive for the coronavirus infection last night (15), states Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.
“For the last 6 days we didn’t get any sick patient from outside quarantine centers but yesterday we got one patient from National hospital.”
“The patient had gone to Dambadiva Pilgrim, she is the only patient we diagnosed outside the circle of our quarantine program in last few days. All others were reported from Quarantine centers” She said
Measures have been taken to identify people who had connections with this patient in the area of Kotahena where she was residing.
Meanwhile 2 more COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovering from the virus, Ministry of Health said.
65 patients have recovered so far in Sri Lanka from the 238 Total infected.
