First time in the history, Sri Lankan Rupee hits Rs 200 against US$. Sri Lanka Rupee depreciated further against US $ as selling rate of dollar closed at Rs.200.4 today.

The Central Bank quoted selling price per U.S. dollar falls 0.5% to a fresh record low of 200.4 on Wednesday.

No Restrictions : Sri Lankans abroad urged to deposit Foreign Currency earnings to local banks

The rupee has fallen nearly 9.3% so far this year.
