Five airlines, including from France, Italy, and Russia are set to commence flights to Sri Lanka in November and December.
Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga announced today that the airlines are scheduled to commence flights to Sri Lanka by the end of this year.
Swiss leisure travel airline Edelweiss and Air France will launch flights to Sri Lanka from November, while Russia’s Aeroflot is also scheduled to resume flights in November.
Two other flights operating from Russia and Italy will launch flights to Sri Lanka in December, he said.
Earlier this week, tourism authorities were instructed to conduct promotions to attract tourists from France, Britain, Germany, India, and Russia.
The Tourism Promotion Bureau was also instructed to expedite promotions in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and the Middle East. (NewsWire)
