The Government has decided to restrict flights repatriating Sri Lankans stranded overseas from today due to the detection of a new COVID-19 cluster in the country.
Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said that the decision has been taken considering the growing COVID-19 cluster, capacity of quarantine facilities, and hospitals required to contain the outbreak.
Flights that were scheduled for Tuesday (06) and yesterday (07) operated as planned, while a restriction has been imposed from today, he said. (NewsWire)
