Food crisis: Japan offers USD 1.5M

The Government of Japan has offered funding to help Sri Lanka address its food crisis.

The Embassy of Japan said that Japan has announced a USD 1.5 million funding for this purpose. 

Japan’s funding has been granted to help Sri Lanka provide food assistance to people affected by the economic crisis.

The current economic crisis has severely affected the public, with many struggling for day-to-day meals, and essential items, such as gas and fuel. (NewsWire)
