Former Governor of the Northern Province Reginold Cooray (73) has been appointed as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.
He replaces former Rupavahini Chairman Dr. Nihal Jayathilaka, who has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).
Jayathileke takes over the position from former SLSI Chairman Nushad Perera, who recently stepped down from the post to rejoin the private sector.
Dr. Jayathilaka who previously served as the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, has also acted as the Secretary to the Ministry of Economic Development in 2014. (NewsWire)
