Kusal Mendis is set to represent Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) in the upcoming Sri Lanka’s domestic Inter-Club season.
Mendis who has been suspended from cricket for breaching the bio-security bubble in Durham, England during a series in June, was part of CCC before his move to SSC. SSC is currently coached by Thilina Kandamby while Mahela Jayawardane heads it’s cricket committee.
Mendis, along with Danushka Gunathilaka and Niroshan Dickwella, received a one-year ban from international cricket and six months ban from domestic cricket. Despite it, Sri Lanka Cricket is expected to give permission to all three players to participate in the domestic tournament starting from November. (CricWire)
