Fuel crisis : Update from CPC on current situation

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says that there are adequate fuel in the country now with sufficient volumes imported.

Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Chairman Sumith Wijesinghe said that fuel distribution has already begun, and several ships containing fuel have arrived in the country.

“We have imported sufficient diesel, petrol, furnace oil, jet fuel and kerosene now” he added.

He requested the consumers to pump fuel to normal limits and not to stock fuel in cans and barrels.

He also said that two more fuel ships are due on Monday and Tuesday, which will completely end the current crisis. (NewsWire)
