Galle Fort “Crazy Jumping” blocked : Jumpers make appeal

Men who used to perform the daring jump known famously as the “Crazy Jump” from the Galle fort, are deploring that they are now unable to perform their act to tourists as a barrier is going to be built in the area.

For over 15 years, young men have been performing the “Crazy Jump” from Kodigala area in Galle Fort to entertain tourists, thereby earning a living.

Reportedly, a barrier is being constructed in the area due to Archeological Conservation activities.

These men are requesting the authorities to keep atleast a gap of 3 feet so that they can continue with their jumping activities, as they make a living with this activity. (NewsWire)
