Gold prices dip in Sri Lanka

Gold prices have dropped by nearly Rs. 5000 within a week in Sri Lanka, according to local gold merchants.

Accordingly, the price of a 22-karat sovereign has dropped to Rs. 147,000 in the local gold market today (June 02).

A 22-karat sovereign was sold at Rs. 152,600 on Friday, last week.

Meanwhile, the price of a 24-karat gold sovereign has dropped to Rs. 159,000.

A 24-karat gold sovereign was sold at Rs. 165,000 last week. (NewsWire)
