CID has arrested an Assistant Land Settlement Commissioner in Kotmale over allegedly publishing Fake News in social media.
Police spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said that the person had published several false news in his Facebook page claiming deforestation taking place in the country.
DIG Ajith Rohana said the 42 year old suspect was arrested in Gelioya yesterday and he will produced in court today.
