The Government has postponed until further notice repatriation flights that were scheduled for Israel and some countries in the Middle-East.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Tel-Aviv, Israel said that the Government of Sri Lanka had informed the Embassy in this regard today.
The Government had informed that a repatriation flight that was scheduled for Sunday (30) to bring back Sri Lankan migrants from Israel has been postponed indefinitely due to a shortage in Government quarantine centres in Sri Lanka.
The Embassy was also informed that various flights that were scheduled to the Middle- Eastern countries have also been postponed due to this reason.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Israel further said that Sri Lankan migrants were requested to remain calm until the Government decides on a new date to operate the repartition flight. (Newswire)
