The Government has deiced to suspend the controversial Parakrama Samudra Jogging Track Project.
Director General of Irrigation Department Nihal Siriwardena said that the rocks that were shoved into the Parakrama Samudra will be pulled back in order to restore the breakwater of the Parakrama Samudra.
The project was temporarily suspended on 27th August following strong opposition from Buddhist religious leaders in the area. (NewsWire)
