United National Party (UNP) Leader and MP Ranil Wickremesinghe has issued a special statement on the growing food shortage and financial crisis in Sri Lanka.
The former Prime Minister said the current foreign exchange crisis is becoming aggravated at present and the Government is yet to find a solution.
He further said that the Government must either approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or come forth with a credible alternative.
MP Wickremesinghe also pointed out that Sri Lanka is facing an imminent food shortage.
He called on the Government to address the issues and obtain lines of Credit or foreign loans as a temporary measure to ensure stability. (NewsWire)
