Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Harin Fernando today officially renounced his parliamentary salary for a period of one year.
Issuing a statement, the MP said he officially renounces his Parliamentary salary as promised during yesterday’s Parliament session.
The MP said the decision has been taken as he believes as public servants steps should be taken to lessen the burden on the economy and the country at present. (NewsWire)
