Spas have been permitted to operate under the system to reopen institutions that were closed due to the coronavirus situation, under several phases, Health authorities have clarified.
Health Services Deputy Director- General Dr. Hemantha Herath said there was no special reason for permitting spas to recommence operations.
“Initially, we had strict guidelines where almost all were closed. When Covid-19 cases are getting decreased, we will have to ease the restrictions which had been prevailing. Now, we are gradually releasing restrictions,” he told the Daily Mirror.
Dr. Herath further said institutions under several categories will have to be reopened in stages, adding that spas were reopened under such a criteria.
However, he warned that if the operations do not provide the expected result, then the decision will be revised. (NewsWire)
