Health Ministry has issued guidelines to be followed when celebrating Vesak festival this week amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Ministry advised people to engage in religious activities at home and recommended that Dhamma sermons and Pirith chanting be organized using loudspeakers while maintaining social distance.
The government has declared May 4 to 8 as Vesak week.
