How much Sri Lanka spent for private vehicle imports in first 7 months of 2020

Sri Lanka recorded the lowest expense incurred for the import of private vehicles in July 2020, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) said.

The amount is the lowest to be recorded since December 2009 and a reduction of 93.6%.
The CBSL said Sri Lanka recorded US$ 6.1 million as import cost for private vehicles in July 2020 in comparison to US$ 95.6 million recorded in July 2019.

The first 07 months of 2020 recorded an import cost of US$ 279.5 million in comparison to US$ 419.6 million recorded during the first 07- months of 2019, a reduction of 33.4%, the CBSL added. (NewsWire)
