Three suspects have been arrested for the illegal importation of medical equipment.
The Police said the suspects had illegally imported 3400 Pulse Oximeters, which is used to test the oxygen levels in the blood.
The suspects were arrested by the Panadura Walana Central Anti- Vice Striking Unit during a raid conducted in Messenger Street, Colombo 12.
Further investigations have revealed that the suspects had not obtained approval from the National Medicine Regulatory Authority (NMRA) to import the medical equipment.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Colombo 12, Wellawatte, and Modara. (NewsWire)
