Garuda Indoneesia Airlines operated a special flight to BIA Katunayake to evacuate some Indonesians stranded in Sri Lanka and Maldives.
“The destination of the flight was Bali. Garuda operated this flight to carry the Indonesians stranded back to their loved ones for Ramadan” BIA Katunayake said in a Facebook post.
Meanwhile another 113 Sri Lankans stranded in India arrived earlier today. SriLankan Airlines operated a special flight UL 1194 on 26th April, to Coimbatore for this mission.
All passengers were sent to the quarantine centres under the guidance of the health authorities.
