Public Security Minister Tiran Alles has ordered the Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon to launch an investigation into the comments made yesterday (22) by former President Maithripala Sirisena on the Easter Sunday Terror Attacks.
Former President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday claimed he knows who really carried out the 2019 Easter Sunday Terrot attacks and that he was prepared to disclose the information to the judiciary.
Speaking to the media in Kandy, the former President said if the court makes a request or issues an order in this regard, the information will be revealed.
Stating that no one has revealed the true mastermind of the Easter attacks yet, Sirisena said he was willing to disclose the details, but it was the responsibility of the judges to keep the information strictly confidential. (NewsWire)
