The Sri Lanka Police has launched investigations to find a Police Sergeant who has been reported missing since the 08th of September 2021.
The missing Police officer, who is a Sergeant attached to the Kotmale Police station, has been identified as a 56-year-old father of three and a resident of the Pundaluoya area.
The man, who was accompanied by his son to the Gampola Hospital, is reported to have gotten admitted at the hospital to obtain treatment for an illness related to his hand and leg.
However, the Hospital Police Unit had been informed by nurses at the ward at around 11 am on the same day that the Sergeant was missing.
