Israel-Palestine conflict : Seven latest updates

  • At least 8,525 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza since October 7, while more than 1,400 people have been killed in Israel.
  • Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp has been struck again, a day after an Israeli air attack killed dozens and sparked widespread condemnation. Hamas said that seven captives were killed in Israel’s bombing of Jabalia refugee camp on Tuesday.
  • Ambulances carrying wounded Palestinians enter Egypt from Gaza through the Rafah crossing which opened for the first time since October 7. Some foreign nationals or dual passport holders are to be allowed to leave as well.
  • A general strike is being observed throughout the occupied West Bank, including in occupied East Jerusalem, in condemnation of the continuing Israeli attacks on Gaza.
  • Palestinian telecommunications company Paltel has said communications and internet services have been cut across Gaza again.
  • The Palestinian Prisoners Society says at least 70 Palestinians were detained in overnight Israeli raids across the occupied West Bank.
  • Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague to investigate the killing of nine journalists – eight Palestinians and one Israeli – since the war began. (AL Jazeera)
