Employment opportunities in the welding, grinding, and painting fields are available in South Korea at present, State Minister of Mass Media Shantha Bandara said today.
Addressing the media, he said the Korean language examination is not required to apply for jobs in the mentioned fields.
Stating that there was a shortage of jobs in the fields in Sri Lanka due to the economic crisis, he said however, there was a demand for such jobs in South Korea.
State Minister Shantha Bandara further said that those below the age of 45 from the above-mentioned fields may apply for jobs in South Korea by registering with the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency in Nawala.
He also revealed that the starting salary of the jobs per month is around Rs. 850,000.
Those interested have been advised to reach out to the technical committee at the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency in Nawala which will provide necessary assistance pertaining to the job opportunities. (NewsWire)
