The Ministry of Justice will make amendments to 60 laws that have not been amended in the last 20 years, Justice Minister Ali Sabry announced.
He stated that the proposed amendments will be tabled in Parliament.
The Minister added that he expects to include them in the progressive law system which he plans to implement in the future.
He further pointed out that both Government officials and citizens must fulfill their responsibilities to help the country move forward.
“Without research and development, Sri Lanka cannot move forward,” Minister Sabry highlighted.
The Justice Minister also commented on the unity and friendship between Sri Lankans of different races and religions and urged the officials to continue in this manner.
