Justice Minister Ali Sabry informed Parliament that the process of removing Mohan Peiris from the post of Chief Justice was illegal.
Addressing Parliament today, he said measures will be taken to rectify the matter after discussing the matter with Prime Minister.
Mohan Peiris was appointed as the Chief Justice in 2013 and was later removed from the post on 28th January 2015. (NewsWire)
