JVP Leader contradicts statement made by former MP Jayatissa on Easter attacks

JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake has contradicted a statement made by former JVP MP Nalinda Jayatissa, claiming that India is suspected of being the force behind the 2019 Easter Sunday terror attacks.

During an interview with the BBC Sinhala Service recently, former MP Jayatissa made remarks linking India to the 2019 terror attacks.

Speaking on the Easter attacks investigation, JVP Leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake told reporters yesterday that no political party or politician has the right to point fingers at any Government or organization in this regard.

The JVP Leader said looking at the evidence provided to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to probe the attacks and the direction of its investigation, there are no signs of any country’s involvement in the terror attacks. (NewsWire)
